WWW Wednesday 12/9/15

This is my weekly WWW Wednesday post in which I answer three simple questions.  It is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Go check her out, her blog is great!  Each week I will answer the following three questions about what is happening in my book world.

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you are going to read next?

So, here we go.crystallum

What are you currently reading?

Crystallum by Laney McCann

Ice Like Fire by Sara Raasch

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Still reading all the same things.  I’m so annoyed with how busy life has been, with the holidays coming up and going shopping for Secret Santas and Christmas.  Don’t get me wrong, I love gift giving and the holidays, but it is annoying that it cuts into my reading time

What did you recently finish reading?

“I didn’t finish anything this week. Sad day. Definitely hoping to have a couple books done by the time I see you for WWW Wednesday next week.”

Up there is what I wrote in for this question last week. Still didn’t finish anything, but I will finish both books this coming week, so you guys can hear all about them.

What do you think you’ll read next?

(All synopses are from Goodreads)

Still looking forward to reading these:

blood and saltBlood and Salt

Romeo and Juliet meets Children of the Corn in this one-of-a-kind romantic horror.

“When you fall in love, you will carve out your heart and throw it into the deepest ocean. You will be all in—blood and salt.”

These are the last words Ash Larkin hears before her mother returns to the spiritual commune she escaped long ago. But when Ash follows her to Quivira, Kansas, something sinister and ancient waits among the rustling cornstalks of this village lost to time.

Ash is plagued by memories of her ancestor, Katia, which harken back to the town’s history of unrequited love and murder, alchemy and immortality. Charming traditions soon give way to a string of gruesome deaths, and Ash feels drawn to Dane, a forbidden boy with secrets of his own.

As the community prepares for a ceremony five hundred years in the making, Ash must fight not only to save her mother, but herself—and discover the truth about Quivira before it’s too late. Before she’s all in—blood and salt.

I came across this one around Halloween time, and have been looking forward to it ever since it showed up on my doorstep.

Hello, Goodbye, and Everything In-Between by Jennifer E. Smith

hello, goodbyeOn the night before they leave for college, Clare and Aidan have only one thing left to do: figure out whether they should stay together or break up. Over the course of twelve hours, they retrace the steps of their relationship, trying to find something in their past that might help them decide what their future should be. The night leads them to family and friends, familiar landmarks and unexpected places, hard truths and surprising revelations. But as the clock winds down and morning approaches, so does their inevitable goodbye. The question is, will it be goodbye for now or goodbye forever?

Charming, bittersweet, and full of wisdom and heart, this irresistible novel from Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, explores the difficult choices that arise when life and love lead in different directions

I’ve heard so many great things about this book and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (which I also want to read) that I thought I would pick this one up soon.

I can’t wait to hear what the rest of you are reading!! Let me know in the comments.

Happy Reading!
Erin
